Flags Fly Half-Staff for Patriot Day

Flags are flying at half-staff today in remembrance of the September 11 attacks

Patriot Day is a day to honor the victims of the attacks and to reaffirm our commitment to freedom and democracy.

The September 11 attacks were a horrific tragedy that claimed the lives of nearly 3,000 people.

We will never forget the victims of these attacks or the heroes who saved lives.

We come together today to remember and honor those who were lost.

We also reaffirm our commitment to fighting terrorism and keeping our country safe.

We are a nation of strength and resilience, and we will never forget.

Flags will remain at half-staff until sunset today.

You can also observe a moment of silence at 8:46 AM ET, the time when the first plane hit the World Trade Center.

Let us all come together in peace and unity.
