World Book and Copyright Day 2023

World Book and Copyright Day is celebrated  on April 23rd  each year.

The day aims to promote reading, publishing, and protecting intellectual property.

It was designated by UNESCO in 1995 to recognize the importance of books and authors.

The date of April 23rd was chosen to honor the deaths of William Shakespeare and Miguel de Cervantes.

This day also celebrates the diversity of literature and the power of books to promote dialogue and understanding.

Many organizations and institutions hold events and activities to mark the occasion.

Copyright laws protect the rights of authors and encourage the creation of new works.

E-books and audiobooks have become popular ways to consume literature in the digital age.

The pandemic has highlighted the importance of reading as a source of comfort and education.

On this day, let us celebrate the joy and benefits of reading and support the protection of authors' rights.
